Hello! My name is Andres Aponte and I am a hard-working filmmaker based in Orlando, FL. Native from Caracas, Venezuela, me and my family fled the socio-economic crisis that loomed over the country in 2007. I spent my teenage and early adulthood years in Miami, FL, where I attended Florida International University, graduating in 2015 with a Liberal Studies degree. My creative process is a result of 2 years of color film photography under the amazing Peggy Nolan’s umbrella, where I learned a lot about analog color correction, composition, and storytelling through a color photograph.
When younger, I spent a lot of time in bands, which led to my passion for music videos. My focus in this area is creating music videos with thoughtful and socially-responsible narrative.
I aspire one day to dedicate my time to creating narrative (commercial/film) pieces. I also have a deep love for animals and hope to one day be able to film them in the wild.
Skills: Director, DP, Editor, Colorist
“There's no story if there isn't some conflict. The memorable things are usually not how pulled together everybody is. I think everybody feels lonely and trapped sometimes. I would think it's more or less the norm.”
- Wes Anderson
